Fluffy Coons * PL Maine Coons Cattery was founded out of love for cats.
My name is Anna Jakubik. Together with my husband we have a home cattery. Our experience with Maine Coon cats started in 2005, when we first time went to the international cat show in We both worked at that time, so it happended that sometimes Edzia stayed alone at home for a long time. We decided to give her some a companion. This way Czesia, a black tortoiseshell female from a cattery in Wrocław (PL), came to our home. Someone said 'one Maine Coon is just a start' and in our case it comes true in 100%. Our females get on very well, athough they have completely different characters. Therefore they complement each other beautifully and we can expect almost anything. In spite of their differences they are ideal representatives of their breed, possessing all the distinctive features. They are friendly, sociable and lively. Maine Coon cats are called companions not pets and we fully agree with that. For example one should not be surprised by a Maine Coon fetching his toys. Our cats are full household members. They often and successfully show their aproval or disapproval of games and activites we propose, as well as the daily menu. Quite offen they decide which toys we should use in the game and expect cooperation. On the other hand our females choose the time when they want to play with us and it's - of course by pure coincidence - in the middle of the night. Our cattery is registerd in Cat Fancier Association 'Dream Cat's Club' (link), being a member of Polish Federation Felis Polonia (link), which belongs to FIFe (link) - the bigest and the most important felinology association in the world. Health of our cats are of the most importance. They always posess current vaccinations and have negative test results for a viral diseases FIV & FeLV as well as heart diseases. Our brood is permanently look after by Cezariusz Hulas, veterinary Ph.D. and Grzegorz Kacprzak, veterinary surgeon.
